Give me a ticket for an aeroplane

Just to make sure that it wasn't a fluke last time, I'm posting a few more pictures from Prague.

You oughta be in pictures...

Or, thing #7. Almost 2 years ago my sister gave me my first digital camera for Christmas. I was a little skeptical at first. I mean, I had a camera already. A really nice manual 35mm with various lens attachments. I'd brought it with me on every trip I'd taken since I was 22. I had once before borrowed my sister's digial camera and felt the shutter speed was much too slow. Would my new digital be able to take the kind of shots I was used to taking? Well, 3 trips and more than 1,000 pictures later I'm a convert. Maybe even an addict. I took 400 pictures during my trip to Prague and I was only there for a week! It's so much less limiting than 36 exposures making you constantly change the film. No awkwardly large flash attachment. If I don't like the way a picture comes out - in the trash with it! I've gotten them all uploaded to shutterfly.com and I can crop, color and edit them to my heart's content. *sigh* I think I'm in love.

I put a "spell" on you...

M A R I O N

Spell with Flickr that is.

I have to say, some of the mashups I just didn't "get." But, as you can see, I enjoyed this one! Pretty, isn't it?

"unofficial" librarians in Prague

Or should that be librarians unofficially in Prague? How about librarians on vacation in Prague. See, I told you I was good at the "play" habit. ;)

What a wonderful, beautiful city! We just spent a week there and got back to the library yesterday. As soon as I have a chance, I'll post some of the way too many pictures I took (400, but who's counting).

Shhh...be vewy vewy quiet...

I'm engaging in lifelong learning. I need all the concentration power I can get!

Okay, thanks.

I just completed the 7 1/2 habits of lifelong learners tutorial. I certainly consider myself a lifelong learner, largely due to curiosity about anything and everything. I always tell the kids who come in to the library that my favorite book of all time is the World Almanac and Book of Facts because almost anything you could ever want to know is in there somewhere. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I think Habit #2: accept responsibility for your own learning is one that comes easiest for me. Well, that and #7 1/2. I mean, who doesn't like to play?
